2. Suit for sealing after various zinc plating passivation, the plating usually appears silver after sealing.
3. Suit for immersion and spray pattern.
4. Can improve the protective effect of a variety of passivation film in neutral salt spray test of 0.2-0.5 times.
2. Process Flow
Zinc plating → Recycle → Wash → Neutralize (with nitric acid 2~3%)→ Passivate → Wash → Sealing with PN-6 → Dry (60~80℃)
3. Preparation
PN-6 Sealant: 15-50% (Concentration depends on demands of appearance of the plating, the higher the concentration, the thicker the layer)
Temperature: Room temperature (10-50 ℃)
Drying temperature: 70 ℃ (<120 ℃)
pH: 8-9 (adjust with diluted ammonia or ethanol ammonia)
Usage method: Immerse the workpiece in the bath and then immediately remove the workpiece or spray bath solution on the workpiece.
Tank material: stainless steel, plastic or steel tank with a plastic liner.
4. Tips
a. PN-6 and its solution will produce flocculation in the acidic
conditions, so the pH of water must be higher than 7 for a new bath.
b. Remove insoluble flocculation from the bath, put it into wastewater
treatment.
c. PN-6 can not be directly used for barrel plating automatic
production line, as it is easy to make holes on the drum being sealed.
d. Unqualified sealing layer can be stripped by immersing in hot 896 degreasing agent(>75℃) which contains sodium hydroxide no less than 80g/L, floating sheet should be filtered to remove.
